How Density Measurement Works
Crowd density uses head detection models adapted for high-density scenarios where individuals may be occluded by surrounding crowd. In very high-density situations, advanced systems supplement detection with density estimation models that infer crowd count from visual texture and pattern characteristics of dense crowd imagery, achieving reliable measurements up to approximately 8–10 persons per square meter.
How Flow Analysis Works
Crowd flow analysis uses optical flow algorithms to measure movement velocity and direction across consecutive frames.
